sewandtellfridaysHello again, blog world! Another crafty week has passed and another long work week is done. So let's put that whole work thing to bed and let's have a great 3 day weekend to inspire..... and create!!!

I participate in several link parties each Friday and the buttons to take you to those sites are posted below. There is so much creativity posted at these link parties and they inspire me so! I highly recommend a peek at the work created by these very craft ladies!

My week started off with another frog project. I made a froggie mini quilt for the August Challenge at the Seasons BOM Yahoo group! I just love participating in this group! The ladies are fun, fun, fun! And the group owner, Sandi at Legacy of Stitches is a very nice lady indeed. You should check out her blog when you get a chance. I love it and I love her ideas! Here is the mini quilt I made. You all know how I just love frogs!

Here is the quilt top. The green frog blocks are 4" square. The rest of the quilt is done with blocks made of colorful strips.

I really love the greens here. And the fabric with the four leaf clovers with the gold specks is just adorable!

Now I just need to decide if I am going to bind this cutie, or if I am going to sew it into a pillow. I think I am leaning toward making it into a ruffled pillow! I have not sewn one of those for a long time :)

I also made an adorable pincushion from a redwork embroidery pattern and tutorial found on Jenny's blog. You can find the instructions to make this adorable gem here. Jenny is so kind to share with us and here designs are incredible! I love them!

I also made this pincushion as my final project in Jenny's August Reinvention Challenge. I love the monogram that I embroidered with my initial on it! My satin stitch skills are improving! I have posted eight projects from this challenge that I completed in the month of August. I still have a few scraps of that skirt left!!! You can see all of my projects in my Sew & Tell posts in the month of August.

This pincushion looks small. Don't let the photo deceive you. It really is very big! You can find the pattern for the Tipnut's Wild Flower Pincushion in my free pattern section under Sewing Stuff. Check out the crafty goodness! I have links there to over 70 different pincushion patterns and tutorials, so check it out! There is some great inspiration there if you are into pincushions!

Now on to some of my quilting projects....

Here are my blocks from Amy's Simple Sampler Week 4.

I am behind :(

But I am catching up!

Amy posted this great quilt with all the instructions on her site! All the instructions are still there and  I highly recommend it!

I made another fabric ATC for a swap! This one reminds me of my son when he first went to kindergarten a long time ago! He just started college last week! LOL!

I made some greeting card for a swap partner. She is a fan of flying pigs, so I made these cards for her viewing pleasure! I sure hope that she likes them once she receives them! I find them to be both hilarious and adorable!

And then last but certainly not least a peek into a project I will finish this weekend!

This is sew very cool.....

My blanket stitch has improved dramatically!

I have to tell you..... I am so proud of me!!!

I know that even with this itsy bitsy peek, some of you will know exactly what I am making and you will also know exactly who wrote the pattern! I will post it shortly because I am sew very excited to show off the finished project! It is going to be nothing short of amazing!

Here are the links to the linky parties that I am participating in.

Please check them out!

You will find tons of fun there!

Tell them Carla sent you!

With that being said, this weekend is going to be an awesome stitching marathon! But I am off to celebrate a night with the girls first...... cuz we just wanna have fun!!!! YAY!

Happy Stitching!!!

I opine that to get the loan from creditors you should have a good reason. However, once I have got a small business loan, because I wanted to buy a building.
