MMH MondayIt has been several weeks since I posted a "Makes Me Happy Monday" post. But that does not mean that I have not been contemplating gratefulness! In fact, I try to take a few moments of each day thinking about those positive types of thoughts. I often engage in this exercise when I have my morning coffee. I take a few deep breaths and just try to visualize something positive. It makes a great start to every day!

As most of you know, my oldest daughter, Diana, got married last week on 10/10/10. What a wonderful event it was too! This is my first "Makes Me Happy Monday" post since the wedding. I had the opportunity to see my two younger sisters for the wedding and I had not seen them for more than a year. It was fun to spend a few hours with them and their children. I was sad that I was unable to spend more time with them as this was only a weekend event and all of us had to travel back home after the wedding for work.

Since the wedding, I have been thinking about my familial ties and focusing my thoughts on the importance of family. To commemorate this, this week I am celebrating  sisters and daughters and how important they are to me!

The night before the wedding, we all decided that we were going to meet up in downtown Las Vegas at the Fremont Experience!

I loved this photo at Binions!

And the vintage neon sign of the cowboy!

I had not seen my younger sisters in such a long time!

It was so nice to get together with them. Leah lives in Texas and Rena lives in Oregon, so they are not geographically convenient! But we do keep in touch as best we can.

My daughter Jessica was also thrilled to see her aunts!

They had missed one another!

My daugher Jessica and her fiance Jim will be married next year!

My daughter Diana and I enjoyed a few special moments the night before the wedding!

My boyfriend took lots of silly pictures! Like this one of me snacking on some Chex Mix.

Thank you, ladies, for being so special in my life! You mean the world to me! (I know I don't say it enough!) Thanks for helping me through the weekend and sharing the wonderful experience of Diana's wedding with me! I love you! Be happy and be well!
