sewandtellfridaysAnother weekend is upon us and it is time to reflect upon the accomplishments of the last week. I received a lot of great feedback on my quilted bookmark tutorial that I posted last Monday. In fact, my bookmarks were featured on the Creative Itch blog HERE as one of Misty's Sew Cute Tuesday projects! I think so far having my work featured on another blogger's blog is the ultimate blogging reward! It excites me so! And ultimately it leads me to more and more inspirations!

This last week really was quite creative. I still feel like I am getting back into the swing of things after going to Las Vegas at the beginning of the month. I am not sure why 5 days away managed to throw such a monkey wrench it one's creative flow, but it does for me! It is a mystery to me!

My creative week started with the making of these sew adorable mini owl pincushions. You read about the larger version last week on my blog. This week, I took the same pattern and reduced it by 50%. Then I used felt for the eyes and beaks and used blanket stitch to sew these on by hand. I made a total of 6 in different color combinations. Here are my photos...

Look Whooooo's Back!!!!   Here are all the owl pincushions hanging out in their tree!

The pink one is sew cute! I stuffed the inside of the pincushions with recycled stuffing and some rice to make the pincushions a little heavier.

I did not stuff the legs with stuffing. Instead, I inserted a pipe cleaner folded in half into each leg. By doing that, I made the legs bendable!

The turquoise color combo is awesome!

This photo shows how the legs are bendable and how you can pose them!

.....and one final shot of these cute little projects!

The free pattern for the adorable creatures can be found HERE.

This week I also finished a mini quilt to wish my daughter peace, love, hope and joy in her life with her new husband. I started out with a pattern by Jenny of Elefantz. The free pattern can be found HERE.

I stitched up the 4 embroidery blocks and I showed sneak peaks of them last week!

I added brown, pink and white floral sashing.....

Block 3

Block 4

Then I made a block of my own for the newlyweds!

Here is my finished wall hanging! I ♥ the colors!

I quilted the entire quilt by hand!

Now all I need to do is give the gift!

I also finished this quilted "wonky houses" check book cover! Very cute!

The back of the checkbook has a place to store your pen!

The tutorial for the checkbook cover can be found HERE.

In honor of Halloween, I made these 2 ATC's for my swap partners!

I love freaky Dracula!

....and funky Frankenstein!

I love the colors. I seldom work with orange but I have always loved the orange and purple color combination!

I won these fabrics in a giveaway from Sarah Fielke's blog! These fabrics are sew different! Great job Sarah! I love them! Thanks for sponsoring the giveaway! Check out her blog. She has some great stuff there!

This one is my favorite! I want to make a pillow with it!

I also opened my Etsy shop this week! I have been working hard making Jazzy Jewel pins to list in my shop for sale.

Here is what I started with.... a bunch of random glass beads.

Here are some pins in progress.

And here are some that are totally finished!

I need to decide now how to package them so I can photograph them and list them in my shop. I also have to decide on a price! But I want to get a bunch listed in my store so people can buy them for Christmas presents! Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Here are some sneak peeks of other embroidery in progress.....

Some pretty flowers....

A Christmas kitty....

....and a sweet floral redwork!

I will be linking up to a bunch of different linky parties this week and the buttons are all in the sidebar on the right. Please check out these links for some awesome inspirations!

Take care and have a great weekend!

Until next time....

Happy Stitching!

It's understandable that cash makes us disembarrass. But what to do if somebody doesn't have cash? The only one way is to receive the mortgage loans or sba loan.
