MMH MondayHope everyone had a very happy and healthy Thanksgiving. My family and I did just that! We did all eat too much though LOL!

This last week I had signed up for the One Thing One Week Challenge at Amy's Creative Side. Amy does this challenge about once a month to get us all motivated to finish something. And I did need a little push to get a jump on finishing my Hanukkah village quilt. This quilt is a gift for my boss.... so I gotta get this finished! I challenged myself to cut out the entire quilt! And I did it!!!

Here are all the pieces for the background all cut and labeled neatly!

And there is the pieced village!

There are a total of nine houses......

There will be a total of 8 candles in between each of the houses with the 9th candle on top of the house in the middle.

I have to make the 9 candles and applique them on. I have not decided if I will do them by machine or by hand. The doors are done by machine.

I need to do the candles tonight 11/29/10.

Then on to the borders! I plan to do the borders on 11/30 & 12/1.

Binding 12/2 and 12/3.

Quilting 12/4.

Label and finish 12/5!!!

So the quilt will be totally finished before the end of Hanukkah!

Thanks for the motivation and inspiration Amy!

I could not have done it without your push!
